ABOUT LINUS

Linus Höller (Hoeller) is a press and travel photographer based in Chicago. Some of his photo reporting includes the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests, Capitol Hill and the White House, the Polish presidential election, violent demonstrations against the government’s coronavirus measures in Germany and severe weather. He is well-versed in reporting on local news topics on both sides of the Atlantic as well as global issues, and speaks four languages.
Believing that visiting a place is the only way to truly understand it, he is a prolific traveler who has visited 38 countries on five continents.
Linus holds a BSc in Journalism, Political Science and International Studies from Northwestern University, where he studied at the prestigious Medill School of Journalism. He has also received an MA in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and a second master’s from MGIMO University in International Relations with a specialization on WMD Nonproliferation, Nuclear Policy and Global Security as a dual-degree. 
Linus’ reporting has been published in the Washington Post, ProPublica, ICIJ, Defense News, AFP, Military Times, UPI, Medill News Service, Märkische Allgemeine Zeitung and elsewhere.
